This project is nearing completion just a little outside of a year of renovations and design exploration. I have been truly fortunate to work patiently with a wonderful family to create a home that suits their loving, warm personality and provides a backdrop for the years of family gathering to come.

The home was originally a 1950’s ranch style build with an addition in the style of A. Hays Town. As a matter of fact, the addition was drawn by one of his apprentice architects. Care was taken to incorporate design elements true to his signature southern aesthetic.

As a Cajun, I felt it necessary to serve an offering to the inherent style of the home . I put to practice Town’s design process by selecting colors and materials that blended the light, texture and shadows that blur lines between the interior moods and exterior natural vernacular of lush, native vegetation.
